Wellness

A new era started at Hotel Maestral by the opening of the new wellness centre at the beginning of 2010. Appointed according to the highest standards, occupying 2,500 m², our wellness centre offers airy gymnasium with over 30 appliances, 25-metre swimming pool, whirlpool, luxury VIP room for two, massages based on ayurveda, Thai massage, beauty treatments and much more. All saunas are built of Istrian stone and look onto the picturesque small town of Novigrad.

Beaches and swimming pool

Hotel Maestral is situated by the sea, making the trip from your room to the beach simple and pleasant. You can enjoy the magic of summer at the Hotel swimming pool with a spatious terrace for sunbathing, or you can spend your day on the shingle beach, which, due to its appearence and equipment, sea cleanliness and quality of services, last year was awarded the international recognition of „Blue flag“.

On the beaches, you can hire loungers or find refreshment in our attractive bars by the sea. Should you get hungry, the Hotel restaurant or the outdoor BBQ restaurant on the beach are at arm's length.

For the youngsters we offer aquapark, pedalo hire and hire of other recreational appliances.

To our hotel guests, at their disposal, there is an outdoor swimming pool with a bar, as well as a series of animation and sports and recreational programmes. Available to the Maestral guests, there is free use of indoor swimming pool with heated sea water, located in our new wellness centre.

Sport and recreation

Organised groups of sportsmen of all ages stay in Hotel Maestral from as early as February, coming from all over Europe – soccer players, handball players, kayakists and others who come to our green complex for their sports training, preparing themselves for the new season. The complex is suitable for training due to a large number of sports terrains, fresh sea air and quality food and accommodation.

The sign of bike-hotel  points the guest to the stay in a hotel which is additionally equipped to welcome cyclists and is, beside other things, ideal for stays by smaller or larger groups of cyclists, as a starting point of their cyclist trail throughout Istria.

At Hotel Maestral, there are 17 earth covered tennis terrains, mini soccer pitches, courts for handball and volleyball, beach volleyball court, table tennis tables and mini-golf courses.

In the vicinity of Hotel Maestral, a new town sports hall is situated, by which Novigrad and its guests obtained an excellent venue for training and sports competitions.

The modern hall's roof is originally constructed, as a mini soccer pitch, making Novigrad one of the rare places in the world where soccer can be played even on the roof!

A versatile attractive offer is enriched by kayak ride on the Mirna river to which estuary will take you a 10-minute rowing trip from the beach beneath the Hotel.

If you are staying in Novigrad, you will be only some 30 minutes away from, for now, the only professional golf course in Istria. It was opened two years ago as a part of the luxurious hotel complex Kempinski, near Umag, on the very north-west of the Istrian peninsula.
